Swedish 100 must-eat...or at least try
So I've seen these 100 things you must eat lists going around and I was thinking...what about a Swedish 100 list. Heck...if Britain has one...I know neither of us is France...but why not?
So far this time-wasting project is incomplete, so additions/deletions are welcome. In the end hopefully we'll have a good list to measure how much of the distinctive Swedish food we've eaten. Some of it is good, some bad, but you don't know unless you've tried it.

tjälknöll (unsure of the spelling and don't see it in the dictionary; beef marinated for several days, then oven-roasted)

Did I miss it or did no one mention ugnspannkaka...I actually made a modification of this that included hallon och björnbär that should be on the list! Unless of course it is under a different name somewhere...also lejonet och björnen glas...the ben&jerry's of Sweden...I recommend the bananchoklad...gud vad himla god...ha ha ha...

It was on the first list under "Fläskpannkaka" ... of course, there's no rule that say you can only eat them with bacon, soooooo..

Now I'm really looking forward to our trip to Sweden for the Christmas break - I wonder how many of these items I can check off at that time
By the way, I would say that fläskpankaka isn't the same as ugnspankaka.
And I didn't see anybody mention risgrynsgröt. Now I'm hungry!

Why not?
It's the same exact recipe minus the bacon and listed as together as optional ways to make them. In fact, looking for recipes for ungspankaka is how I learn to make them with bacon or apples instead of plain.
Risgrynsgröt was listed under the fancied up version: Ris àla Malta _________________ I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.
